Poetry-By-Heart Contest 2024
What is Poetry-By-Heart? |
Poetry-By-Heart is a poetry reciting contest. Students select a poem from a pre-approved list for their grade, memorize it, and recite it in front of a panel of judges.
Students are scored on poise, presentation, and memorization. The students with the highest score in each grade (K-5) will win a gift card and book of poems. This year's contest will take place at school between April 31-May 1, 2025. |
Why should students participate? |
Poetry-By-Heart is a great opportunity for students to build confidence and practice public speaking skills. No experience is required. Students can select from a variety of fun poems. All participants get a prize!
