Art Docent Resource Page

Before Lesson
  1. Register to volunteer (if this is your first time volunteering at school) : All Mukilteo School District volunteers are required to submit the following application and undergo a background check. If this is your first time volunteering, please make sure to do this BEFORE your volunteer date. Click on the following link to register online: https://www.mukilteoschools.org/volunteer​
  2. Look over the supply list, slides, and handouts shown below. 
  3. Please show up at least 15 min before the lesson to collect supplies.

Supplies
  1. All materials will be prepared ahead (including handouts) in the supply room near the front office.  The key to the supply room is next to the volunteer sign-in area. PLEASE RETURN KEYS AFTER COLLECTING YOUR SUPPLIES.
  2. Each grade will have their materials in a labeled blue tote.  For some lessons, the materials may not fit and there will be a note on where to grab additional supplies. ​
  3. Lessons:  Please see below for lesson plans.  When you arrive class, please ask your teacher to open the slides from the Columbia PTA Art Docent Website. 
After the lesson
  1. Please clean-up all of the supplies, organize them back in the tote and return to the supply room (unless directed otherwise).  If possible, please refill small paint bottles from extra supply on the Art Docent Shelves. (Do not use paint from general teacher supplies).
  2. Please complete a feedback form for your lesson.  This is very helpful!  We would love your feedback to help us refine them and make them easy and fun for everyone.
